OTR Green Street Bodega & Food Hub

UFC Food System Bodega in Over-the-Rhine (OTR), Cincinnati — which opened in 2025 at 29 Green Street — represents a promising new step toward improving access to fresh, healthy food for neighborhood residents. The bodega is managed by Urban Farming Collective Food System (UFC) in partnership with Mercy Hospital and Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH), stocked primarily with produce grown just steps away at the adjacent Goose Alley Community Garden along with other Ohio farmers.
The concept is more than a store — it’s part of a community-driven initiative designed to offer not only fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs, but also to provide education and opportunities for local residents through programs like “Grow the Grower.” UFC intends for the bodega to reflect what the community needs and values, sourcing produce and meats from Ohio farmers and allowing residents to help curate what’s stocked on the shelves.
